The algorithmic reason to make 100 videos

Make 100 videos and you will get better at making videos. True, but Gerard thinks that advice works for a second reason: the algorithm. Social networks built on who you follow are giving way to engagement networks, which match great content to interested viewers regardless of audience size. On TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram, one video catching one viewer lets the platform surface your other videos to them. Depth of content works like more lines in the water: more chances to catch interest, and once you have it, more videos for the algorithm to serve next. We have all watched one clip from a stranger, then met them again three videos later without ever following them. So keep making the videos. The practice helps, and the library you build is doing algorithmic work of its own.
